NHTSA tells Ford to Expand Recall
NHTSA is seeking to have Ford expand its recall of F-150 pickup trucks which reportedly have airbags that may deploy when they are not needed.
The government's auto safety regulator wants Ford to recall more than the 144,000 trucks from model years 2005-06 that it agreed in February to fix.
Wes Sherwood, a Ford spokesman, confirmed the automaker is talking with NHTSA about whether the recall should be expanded. Some of the recalled trucks have air bags that may deploy when not needed, possibly injuring drivers or passengers. (Article)
